The Sponsorship Scheme

You can now make your visit to the International Centre for Birds of Prey more interesting and worthwhile. By sponsoring one or more of the many birds of prey that live here, you can provide a very helpful contribution to the cost of keeping and feeding each bird for a year.

How does the Sponsorship Scheme help?

With an annual food bill of approximately £12,000 and a veterinary bill of £10,000 plus heating costs, individual care, cleaning and maintenance, caring for over 200 birds of prey is expensive. We accept up to a hundred injured wild birds of prey for rehabilitation each year, this is an added expense for our budget.

Who can sponsor and how?

Anyone can sponsor a bird of prey, an individual or a company, a club or group. Simply choose which bird you would like to sponsor and complete the form attached to this leaflet.

A Gift with a difference

Sponsorships make unusual gifts at Christmas, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, or any other special occasion.

How does the scheme work?

When you choose a bird you will be the only one to sponsor that bird, it will become ‘your bird’ for the year you sponsor it, that makes it very special. The larger the bird the more expensive it is to feed each year. This is reflected in the sponsorship cost which is outlined on this page.

Who will you Sponsor ?

The Centre has over 200 birds, all of which can be sponsored. By helping to meet the costs of keeping and feeding a bird you will enable the International Centre for Birds of Prey to develop its conservation and education work for the benefit of birds of prey around the world. Schools, businesses and clubs can raise money to fund a bird.

The publicity for such sponsorship can help tremendously in raising the profile of our work at the Centre, and the school or business.
