Frequently asked questions
No, sadly we are no longer open to the public. This is end of our public work and all bar a tiny number of birds have gone and the aviaries removed.
The toll of Covid, the increasing threat of Avian Influenza, the need to spend huge sums of funds to upgrade all the facilities, our location, and potential new legislation have all added up to our decision to close permanently to the public.
Apart from one elderly much loved bird remaining, all of the others have been gifted away to wonderful new homes. We were very choosey about who our birds went to, and we are delighted to tell you that they are all doing very well in their new homes.
Again Sadly no, we are now focusing on conservation breeding projects and research. We are working with Natural England on a breeding project for Hen Harriers. We have five pairs here and Hen Harriers are very nervous birds so having people around is not a good idea and would not help the breeding programme.
Yes! We would love you too. We do not want to lose all our friends – we need you! You can continue to support ICBP by donation to our charity and keeping in touch.

YOU CAN HELP
None of the above would be possible without the help and support of others. You can make a difference and help us to help them. Whatever you can afford is much appreciated.
We are eternally grateful for those who leave a legacy to the ICBP, as they make a huge difference to our conservation work. For further information please contact us
